We all have times in our lives when we are struggling to cope with something. It may be relationships, depression or anxiety, redundancy, work difficulties or traumatic events. The range of things people come to see me about are as varied as the people I’ve worked with. No problem is too big, nor too small. If it is impacting on your ability to enjoy life, then it's worth spending time to try and change it or resolve the difficulty.

Confidential Supportive Experienced

As a counsellor I will provide a safe, confidential and supportive environment in which you can work on your difficulties. I won't provide solutions but will work with you to explore the problems and help you to find your own path.

I am a warm, understanding and non-judgmental person with many years experience working with individuals in a range of settings. I have worked within the NHS, Rape Crisis, the BBC and in law. I have over eight years counselling experience as well as past experience in education, coaching, career guidance, interviewing and advocacy.

I work in a beautiful space, which is quiet, confidential and comfortable. It is easily accessible by car or public transport, and only 15 minutes walk from the city centre. There is space to park outside and only 5 minute walk to Derby Road and many bus routes.

Short-term or longer therapy

I have experience of counselling individuals for time limited therapy of 6 or 8 sessions, most recently in the NHS. This can be really helpful and make a surprising difference in just a short time. I have also worked with people over a year or two, when they have had significant problems to address. I will happily discuss this with you and we can work together to see what is going to help you.

    Take The First Step

I recognise how difficult it can be to take that first step… to pick up the phone or to send that email. But… rest assured we’ve all been there! I was once that person looking at a list of counsellors and trying to work out who to ring and also not being sure whether it was going to help or not. Why not give me a call, or email me, and set up a free half hour introductory session and see what you think?

Location: Cavendish Crescent North, off Derby Road

My counselling practice is within easy reach of Wollaton, Beeston, Bramcote, Chilwell, Nottingham city centre, Lenton, Trowell, Stapleford, Ilkeston, and Long Eaton.

I hope you find my website helpful and that it provides you with the information you need. If not, please contact me by using the email link or telephone 07862 724569.
